Subconsciously, many progressives, liberals and Democrats, delineate American conservatism as tainted by bigotry, suppression of civil rights and not limited to alienating groups from economic, political and social participation in the Republic’s mainstream…rampant non acceptance, i.e. ‘Nixon’s southern strategy’. Pundits, folks ascribing to a conservative doctrine attributed such hyperbole as a partisan byproduct weighting down the objectivity of both ends of the spectrum, equally.

No longer, the scales of political extremism have fallen deservedly on the ‘right’.

Oxford dictionary’s online definition and examples of bigotry

The Oxford Dictionary imparts ‘right wing’ bigotry in their 1st definition example. A confirmation from a respectable, unbiased / non-partisan resource, the ‘right’ proliferates bigotry as central to their core values.

Further down, presented in the last example, a reason attributed to low church attendance, is a startlingly honest and artful definition of the word, referencing to the ‘religious right’s proselytizing “narrowness, bigotry and prejudice”… an undeniable, accurate, negative characterization.

The GOP, American conservatism, the ‘right’, including affiliated religious groups, are bigoted. Naysayers can look to the persistent resurrection of ‘racial dog whistles’, immigrant xenophobia, regression of women’s issues, disgusting, groundless homophobia and transcendence of corporations over individual rights. These issues are exploited and purveyed through conservative legislation, campaign propaganda or the unjust rulings adjudicated by occupying conservatives on the Supreme Court. Secessionists and supremacists are INFLAMED / TERRIFIED by the clandestine shifting demographic, referenced in their refraining statement … “taking back our country” … as an incomplete outrage denoting the desire, “from the democratic process of equitable representation”.

Gradually, non-partisan organizations, institutions, corporations and sparingly the mainstream media, recognizes the ‘right’ for what they are….emerging hate groups cloaked by inculcating politics, religion, business or diffusing ALL these interests. Finally, the bigots are being identified and called out, hopefully, before democracy disappears from American’s belief in fair governance.
